WHAT IS BEER & SWEAT?
Beer & Sweat is a KEG-ONLY (no bottles allowed!) homebrew competition.
WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?
The judging takes place during the day like a normal competition. Despite having 250+ entries, it is a single judging session, starting at noon and ending with the Best of Show judging in the late afternoon. However, as a keg-only competition, it is not feasible to mail your entries or drop them at a consolidated location – all entries are hand carried (and hooked up to CO2) by the entrants at the competition site. So what do you do with a room filled with tons of kegs and all the homebrewers right there? You turn it into the biggest homebrew party that you will ever experience! It continues well into the evening with the awards ceremony, music, raffles, and partying!

Well, it is awesome, but Beer & Sweat is a Bloatarian Brewing League club event for members only. However, all entrants and volunteers automatically become special members and we sell special memberships so that your friends and loved ones can also attend.
THIS SOUNDS HUGE, IT MUST COST A TON TO ENTER.
Not at all. Beer & Sweat actually costs less to enter than most other competitions out there. Your first entry is $12 and all your entries after that are only $4 each. Since most entrants enter multiple kegs (some with double digit entries), the total cost to enter can turn out to be much less than the typical $6 to $10 entry fee.

Planning to attend? Stay safe and stay overnight. Heck, stay for Friday night too. Did you know that the Friday night before Beer & Sweat has grown over the past few years into the most amazing bottle share you may ever see? Well now you do! VOLUNTEERS!
We need plenty of volunteers to pull off this huge event. As a homebrew competition, we need dozens of judges and stewards – click here to sign up as a competition volunteer. Since this is also a social event, we need plenty of volunteers to do things like manning the raffle table, merchandise table, and registration table – sign up as an event volunteer here.
