Bockfest
On March 2nd, BBL will again host its annual Bockfest Homebrew Competition in conjunction with the Cincinnati Bockfest festival. This is a Bock beer only competition – Helles Bock, Traditional Bock, Dopplebock, Eisbock, Weizenbock or a specialty beer with a Bock beer base style.
Register here as an entrant, judge or steward. Entry registrations will be accepted through 02/17/2019 11:55 PM (EST); judge and steward registrations will be accepted until 02/28/2019 9:00 PM (EST).
Parade: Friday, March 1st, 2019
The Bockfest Parade will start to form in front of Arnold’s Bar and Grill, located at 210 East 8th Street, at 5:00 PM and steps off on Main Street at 6:00 PM. All Bloats, spouses, friends, etc. are welcome to walk with us.

Awards
Awards: Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place for each category (to be determined based on the numbers of entries in each style, etc.). An additional prize will be awarded for “Best Bock Beer” (BOS).
Special Prize: Dunkles (Traditional) bocks will also be judged in a separate, non-BJCP session. The judging panel will consist of professional brewers and selected experts representing the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company and Bockfest organizers. Judging will be done in a Best of Show format. The winning beer will be chosen to be commercially brewed by Christian Moerlein as the 2017 Schoenling Bock.
